When Your Career is in Transition, Ask ‘What If?’

As industries go through a time of transition and reinvention, so are many of us in the hospitality industry. We will come back, but our roles may look different than prior to the pandemic. It is time to think about where our careers are today, where we want to go and what it will take to get there.

“What if…everything you are going through is preparing you for what you asked for.”     –   Justin Perry.

As this quote shares, this time can prepare us for the future we desire, and I challenge
each of you to elevate your next steps by asking…what if?

1. What if…you knew you could not fail and would achieve whatever you set out to do?

2. What if…you knew you could earn the amount of money you expect and deserve (in
proportion to the effort that you put in)?

3. What if…you knew you could live the lifestyle that enables you to enjoy family, friends, and your interests outside of work?

4. What if…you had the time and money to give back to the causes that you are passionate about?

5. What if…you knew all of this was attainable…what would you do?

I am using this time to re-evaluate how I am doing and know, from personal experience, that it is possible to make the most of your career when you pursue it with everything you have! If you are not where you want to be today, I challenge you to put together a game plan and take action. If you need a guide on your journey, please reach out to me.
