The Path to Follow to Become a Successful Hospitality Entrepreneur

This is the story of someone who did not set out to be an entrepreneur. Although he was intrigued by his grandfather who went into business for himself, opening his own butcher shop,
his family guided him down the more safe and secure path of being an employee versus a business owner. With multiple family members in the hospitality industry, he was made aware of the exciting opportunities in the industry.

From the formative years through the later years of his journey, he was guided by his big Why…living well by helping others. His complete story would take longer to tell than can be covered in this short post. The overall theme is simple, he has been able to take his purpose and turn it into a purposeful life and career. The following is a brief overview of how he accomplished his dream.

The formative years…
Parents dedicated to improving the futures of their kids

  • Parents demonstrated a work ethic that provided a solid foundation
  • Learned the traits and habits for success while working for a great organization
  • Throughout his career, he was willing to take risks and accept roles that put him
    outside of his comfort zone
  • Built a network of those who would guide him and those who would join him on the
    journey
  • Established mentors and coaches

The growth years…Going out on his own…what challenges did he face?

  • Needed customers ready to work with him
  • Needed team members ready to join him
  • Needed funding to cover start-up
  • How did he solve the challenges?
  • Established a game plan
  • Secured funding
  • Acted!
  • Affiliated with an organization with training, tools, and resources to ensure
    success
  • Built a team of the best associates in the industry
  • Clearly defined and articulated the problem he would solve for his clients and
the individuals that joined his team.
  • By providing the best-in-class service, secured team members and clients

The later years…
Since taking these steps, this person has built a business that ensures his clients achieve their goals, enables his team members to achieve their desired lifestyle and allows him to give back. The team he has built is a community that helps each other and is recognized as the number one or two producing team each year within one of the top brands in the hospitality industry.

This story is my journey. I have gone down the road before you and know the way, let me guide
you.
