For the Entrepreneur…It’s About Growth

As small businesses across the world rebuild, many are searching for a roadmap to navigate the new terrain as they strive to move beyond surviving to thriving.

Our team is going back to when each of us started our entrepreneurial journey. We re-energized the basics that worked the first time…and will work again. For our businesses, we know that everything begins and ends with customers. To be successful with our clients, we need to be authentic, build trust and demonstrate that we can solve their challenge.

To create long-term success, business owners must make new business generation a priority. The goal is to grow a business that will enable your ideal lifestyle. To do this, you will need to focus on the following:

1. Know Your ‘Why’
What is it that motivates you? What is driving you to achieve success? Hint: it is usually much more important than making money.

2. Relationships
Re-energize your relationships within your network / circle of influence.

3. Database
Keep an up-to-date list of all those within your network.

4. Marketing
Stay connected with those in your database sharing valuable information (i.e., checklists on meeting safely) and highlighting the problems that you solve for your clients.

5. Sales
Refine your value proposition so potential customers are clear on how you can help and how they can engage your services.

6. Account Management
Have an account service plan for each client to ensure you surpass their expectations.

7. Revenue Generation / Cash flow
Make sure you are generating a positive cash flow in for your business. You are doing this to support your ideal lifestyle.

These areas of focus help you whether you are a small business owner or an employee managing a territory or book of business. You grow your business or it does not survive.
